You can get cuddles whenever you want them.

You yowl loudly if your litter box is not clean.

You yowl loudly at the full moon.

You yowl loudly for no reason.

Floor swimming!

Ping Pong balls!

You find yourself bathing Daddy every day because he doesn't know
how to clean himself.

You don't understand the language that your pet humans use, but
you always know when they are talking about you.

Daddy won't change the weather no matter how many times you tell
him to.

Sleeping near the air conditioner is always bad, no matter how
hot the weather is. It's better to curl up under a lamp in the
hot summertime.

You are always on the wrong side of any closed door.

Strangers invade your home and you can do whatever you want. You
can sniff them, you can let them rub you, you can purr and cuddle
in their laps, you can protest their presence, you can cuddle
Daddy, you can cuddle Mamma when there are too many males in the
flat. This is your home; they are only visitors. Meow!

You often get uncontrollable urges to bolt around the house at
3AM yelling meow meow at the top of your small but impressively
powerful lungs.

You prefer even your water to have a tuna flavor.

I eat therefore I am.

Lying atop the bookshelf, which is very tall, gives you an
excellent view of everything that happens in your flat.

Acrobatic leaps that make the rest of the world sick with
jealousy.

Your pet humans can sleep through alarm clocks and train wrecks,
but not through the siren that is your voice. They wake up, feed
you, and sleep through the rest of the day. Who cares if they
sleep, as long as you are fed?

You feel an irresistible urge to get inside a cupboard as soon as
it's open and remove any articles of clothing from their hangers.

You love climbing into any drawer that those fools carelessly
leave open.

You know how to open an inkjet printer and watch the black
plastic things move, even though you haven't quite been able to
bat one yet. But one day, you know you will.

Bug hunt! C'mere Daddy! Bug hunt!

You like it when people knock on your head.

You have an amazing variety of sound effects that cannot be
reproduced phonetically.

When you are watching birds out the big window, they try to
attack you.

You have the uncanny ability to vanish whenever you want. And
nobody can find you no matter how hard they try, ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!

You can eat all the tins you want. All! Just say meow and more
food magically appears.

You talk whenever one of your pet humans goes to the toilet. You
feel an obligation to yowl on their behalf, same as you do when
using your own facilities, because for some strange reason they
lack this ability.

The computer is a friendly animal that purrs when you cuddle it.

You attack funnel web spiders on the television screen.

Sometimes you stop talking in the middle of a sentence and wash
your leg or your naughty bits.

You are always right, no matter how bad you are.

How does catnip work?

"Catnip" is the common name for a perennial herb of the mint family. It is native to Europe and is an import to the United States and other countries. The catnip plant is now a widespread weed in North America.

­Given to the right cat, catnip can cause an amazing reaction! The cat will rub it, roll over it, kick at it, and generally go nuts for several minutes. Then the cat will lose interest and walk away. Two hours later, the cat may come back and have exactly the same response.

Because there really isn't any scent that causes this sort of reaction in humans, catnip is hard for us to understand. However, it is not an uncommon behavior in animals that rely heavily on their noses. For example, there are many scents that will trigger intense hunting behavior in dogs, and other scents will cause dogs to stop in their tracks and roll all over the scent.

Although no one knows exactly what happens in the cat's brain, it is known that the chemical nepetalactone in catnip is the thing that triggers the response. Apparently, it somehow kicks off a stereotypical pattern in cats that are sensitive to the chemical. The catnip reaction is inherited, and some cats are totally unaffected by it. Large cats like tigers can be sensitive to it as well.

The reaction to catnip only lasts a few minutes. Then the cat acclimates to it, and it can take an hour or two away from catnip for the cat to "reset." Then, the same reaction can occur again. Very young kittens and older cats seem less likely to have a reaction to catnip.

Cat lovers come in many different shapes and sizes. There will be times, unexpectedly, you find out someone you know is a cat lover. Maybe he or she didn’t seem like the kind of person to have cats. Or you had an image in your head of what a stereotypical cat lover looks like.

One thing all cat lovers have in common is that they are also animal lovers. They seem have a soft spot in their heart for furry friends, and shows deep compassion for other animals and other living things.

They also feel a connection with their pets, expressing the belief that they can sense what it is feeling.

Some owners form a kind of companionship with their pets, especially if they are single or unmarried. It’s common for individuals to get a kitten, raise it, become very attached to it’s companionship, almost as if it is their partner.

Fractured Legs in Cats

Fractured legs in cats are by far the most common type of fracture, but bone fractures can occur any where in your pet body. When these fractures do affect the legs, however, although the fracture itself may not be that severe, it can cause a tremendous amount of stress in your cat. Once they lose their ability to walk normally, it starts to place pressure on the legs that are not affected as well as mental pressure.

In fully understanding fractured legs in cats, it is very helpful to understand the four most common types of fractures that might occur: closed, compound, epiphyseal or growth plate, and greenstick or hairline. The first three forms can also be categorized by whether they are simple forms of fractures in which your cats bones have broken in only two or three places, or if they are comminuted. Comminuted is where your cats bones have shattered into several pieces.

Closed Fractures:
Fractured legs in cats begin with the simplest form of fracture, which is referred to as closed. This is a situation where the bone itself is fractured, but the overlying skin is still completely intact and as a result, it is not penetrated.

Greenstick Fractures:
This form of a fracture in your cat is where small cracks have occurred within their bone. The bone is still basically intake but it is considered cracked. With this form of fracture, your cats bone is not completely broken and is considered a hairline fracture.

Ring Worms In Cats

If we're talking about cats, the M Canis fungi will be responsible for 95% of all cases of Ringworm. Usually, they will get this disease from objects that are contaminated, like clippers or bedding, or from other pets that are already sick. If you have another pet that already has this disease, other animals should be kept away from it, so they don't get it as well.

The Ringworm disease is much more likely to show up in cats or kittens that have less than a year since birth. A kitten that is allowed to go outside is more likely to get it, either by meeting a cat that has it or by entering in contact with something that is contaminated. This happens because when they're young the immune system isn't as strong, so the Ringworm disease is more likely to affect them.

The Ringworm symptoms are broken or rough hairs and losing their hair around their paws or head. If you see a patch of skin that looks scaly, inflamed and itchy, chances are that the cat has Ringworm disease. Near that area of skin you should also see some broken hairs. It's a sensitive area, so touching it can hurt the cat. Avoid doing that.

Once those symptoms are observed in your cat, get on the phone and get that vet appointment. The treatment for this disease is usually tables or ointments. What he will give her depends on how serious the disease is. Tables are usually given to cats together with their meals.

Coughing Cat - Mysterious Causes You Must Know

A coughing cat demands cat pet care. The cat does not necessarily mean that the cat is sick or ill. Maybe the cat has diarrhea or maybe there are simply cat hairballs. There are several causes for a coughing cat. They are enumerated here.

Asthma and bronchitis may be a cause for a coughing cat. If asthma is causing the coughing then your cat will be given an x-ray. Your cat will have an inhaler, some asthma medication, and some steroids. Your cat may have bronchitis as shown by the x-ray. This is normally treated with steroids. Some cats may also have allergic reactions to airborne elements which may cause their asthma.

Cat hairballs may be one of the causes. If your cat has long hair then it is very likely that their coughing is caused by falling hair. This is one thing that you can treat at the comfort of your own home. You can purchase one of several over-the-counter remedies for hairballs at your vet's office, pet shop, or pharmacy. If you want to use a natural treatment for your cat's hairballs then you can use papaya treatments instead.

The coughing may be caused by cardiomyopathy. When your cat has this kind of illness, their heart will not pump blood properly. As a result, there will be a build up of pressure. This will cause the fluid in the lungs to be come congested and thus, cause the cat to cough.

My friends at Meow Mix have done it again, they have produced a reality TV show staring 10 homeless cats. All ten cats were chosen from animal shelters from around the country.
The cats are spending their time in a storefront window in New York City. The players are brought to life with the use of voice over and the public votes one of the cats out of the house each week. Sound like something you've watched before?
The best part is when the cats gets voted out of the Meow Mix House they go to an adopted new home and the winner will be the new Meow Mix spokes-cat.
