Why is Running a Home Based Business so Hard?

Every day - All the time - People all over the World are scouring the Internet looking to start a home business. There are lots of reasons why people want this tempting scenario. The main two probably that they are fed up of their day to day job and also because they want more money. The thing most people DON'T realize is that the vast majority of these people are going to fail miserably if they do get involved. (There are various figures for this published everywhere the one thing they all have in common is they are all over 90% or so. Here are some reasons why people fail and will continue to do so.
The trouble with the vast majority of Internet businesses out there is that really they are not geared up for the novice and only experienced marketers will ever make any money out of these programs, a substantial part of it from inexperienced people who join up in a flurry of excitement only to find that there aren't really any systems in place to help them. If you're inexperienced on the Internet and have never run a business before then stay away from these types of business. Make sure you always check that there is plenty of training available which is going to help you run your home business and that you're not just going to be left to your own devices once you paid your money. The sad fact is that if you join one of these as an inexperienced person then you will inevitably end up as one of the vast majority who fail at online home business opportunities. You must carefully check into any opportunity that catches your eye and not just fall prey to the enticing copy.
More and more people are catching on to the fact that you can use the Internet to check out and research into any of these online home business opportunities. Simply type into a search engine the 'Opportunity name' and then the words 'review' and 'scam' or 'success' and you are sure to uncover lots of opinions on your prospective business. Be sure not to take any one opinion too seriously. Some people are 'cold water pourers' and will knock ANY business opportunities whether they have tried them or not, but if everybody is saying the same thing about it then you can be fairly sure that this could be one to stay away from.
Unfortunately there are a lot of naive or green people out there who all too easily go starry eyed at the dazzling sales copy and pictures of mansions and luxury cars that the average home based business always employ as the big carrot to suck you in. Most actually believe that once they get their own sales page that's it! They start to make money immediately. If you ever find one of these that works PLEASE let me know (contact details below) but I'll tell you something, I wouldn't like to hold my head under water whilst I wait! Your web page given to you by the Company is very much like a corner shop stuck in the middle of the Antarctic. Nobody will ever see it and if nobody sees it then you don't sell anything, simple as that. So you ask, how do we get people to see it? Well forget the search engines, hundreds if not thousands of identical pages on the same server is the biggest red flag you could ever wave at that old bull, Google. You will need to learn other ways of promoting your site and maybe spend more money to get this done. See how far away we are now from the 'sit back and watch the money' mentality already?
Be very careful what actual product the home based business is selling. Too many people disregard the actual product and just focus on how much money they are being told they can make and this is very dangerous. All the magic pills and potion opportunities out there always seem to be able to suck people in. It's only when they end up with a garage full of the stuff they realize what a mistake they made. Try to avoid this. Also we are not all salesmen. Naturally having a business means you have to sell something yes? But we can't all be great on the phone and we can't all write persuasively so how do we overcome that obstacle? CarbonCopyPRO is one business I know of that has set up a system where you never have to call up any of your leads yourself. There system employs experts to close all leads for the Members, but it's the only one I know of.
It's easier to sell a low ticket item than a high ticket item isn't it? Possibly, but you are going to have to sell a LOT of them to make a living and you are probably never going to get rich. Your visitor to your web site has a cost in either time or cash and I'd rather sell him a $1000 item than a $29.99 item any day. Have you started your online business opportunity so you can have another full time job or because you want to make some serious money and eventually do it part time?
It's very important to see if you're going to get some support and help from above before you join an online business opportunity. Is your Sponsor an active leader in the Company. Will they help to make sure you are not one of the vast majority who just end up as casualties in the online business world. Get in under somebody who knows what you should be doing and can point you in the right direction. Get all the glowing dreams out of your head and be prepared for some work initially. With proper guidance you can succeed but the part time bit will come later, trust me.
