It's scary because once you hear that you have ovarian cysts the first thing you think of is the worry of cancer. Many women ask this question as soon as they are aware of having an ovarian cysts and some wonder even before they are even diagnosed with an ovarian cysts.
But there is something that you need to know right now; the truth is ovarian cysts are very common and normally happen to woman who are at the age to have children. Thus you getting cancer from an ovarian cyst is very unlikely.
As you can see this percentage is small and normally cancerous ovarian cysts actually like to hide most of the symptoms and show themselves after they are larger. Because of this it is important for a woman to notify her doctor right away if you might be having some ovarian cysts symptoms that don't seem to be going away or getting less intense over time. The first test a doctor will use to decide if an ovarian cyst has cancer in it is a blood test called the CA-125. As you can see from above ovarian cysts can cause cancer. However it is very rare that you will get cancer from ovarian cysts. However PCOS has been linked to a very imbalanced lifestyle that can cause women to eat the wrong kind of food and can ruin their likelihood of having children when they want to. If you want to make sure that you are healthy and can have children whenever you want to then you need to visit your doctor for a yearly check. If you begin to have symptoms of an ovarian cysts then visit your doctor sooner. The sooner you discover the problem the sooner you can find a solution for it.
