Free QR Icon Maker--Way cool business tool

To use QR codes on your business cards and other things, you'll need a couple of tools. 1st, you need to install a QR scanner app on your phone. Search the net for "QR Reader" and the model of your smart phone to find a scanner app; they're available for the iPhone, Windows Mobile, Nokia, BlackBerry, and other app-based phones with a camera.

This free QR icon machine can embed a URL, text, a phone number, or an addressed and ready-to-send SMS message into a QR code.

Warning: When you're generating a QR code: the more data you cram into your code, the smaller its pixels will be, and the more sensitive the scanners will have to be to read it accurately. Second, if you're encoding a URL, make sure it's a site that will load well on a mobile phone browser.

A lot of people may not be familiar with VoIP. They could be forgiven; VoIP is a piece technology that is relatively new. However, with its fast development rate, it is unlikely that this will remain the case.

VoIP (Voice over internet protocol) has become one of the prime methods of alternative communication worldwide. It is not only the method that VoIP utilises that makes it different to its rivals; its ability to offer worldwide calls at an efficient, cost-effective rate is one of the key selling points.

Using the internet, the service uses a technology known as the Least Cost Routing system. This means that when call is made to a different location or country, the LCR system finds a location where the call can be sent in its data form to a series of locations and then subsequently converted back into a the analogue call format.

At the point the call is converted, it is still considered to be a local VoIP call. As the internet, as far as sending data is concerned, is a free entity, it allows the VoIP service providers the ability to provide international calls at a cost effective rate.

In some cases, VoIP service providers may allow for users on the same VoIP network to make calls at a free rate - which is great in the instance that a VoIP user consistently makes calls to another VoIP user based in an international destination.

Importantly though, VoIP service providers may offer a greater amount of flexibility - so it is important to do pertinent research before making the switch.
Due to the digital nature of the VoIP service, many features that just wouldn't be accessible on a standard phone do feature on a VoIP phone.

A good number of service providers offer calls to international, non-VoIP users at a slight additional rate - similar to the way as standard phone setup will, but without the high expense. Others will allow for choice of an area where calls are going to made on a regular basis. Thereafter calls can the made to these locations (be it international or local) at no extra charge.

This is useful to say the least for people that have a business contacts or family members located on the other side of the globe.
Most crucially though, what is needed to setup a basic VoIP connection?

The most crucial aspect of the VoIP setup is the internet connection. This must be broadband. No broadband connection, no VoIP. Secondly, although nowhere near as crucial, a computer may be necessary. If the service provider is going to supply a VoIP phone, then more than likely a computer is not likely to be needed. If neither of these is available, it may be possible to convert a standard handset into being compatible with VoIP via an adapter.
As the world becomes a much faster, more international digital community, the choice is no longer there as to whether you want communicate with the rest of the world. VoIP is a service that not only plays up to this fact, but also one that makes it incredibly easy and accessible.
