My Life With My Cats

I love cats! I have had cats my entire life beginning when I was a little girl. I have had every sex and color that you could imagine. When I was 15 years old we had a calico cat named C.C. My Mom named her C.C. which stood for crazy cat. She got her name because our poodle Cheri got into a dog fight one time and C.C. jumped on the other dogs back. It was quite a site. When we went back to the states we had C.C. flown back too. Little did we know C.C arrived in the states in the motherly way and had three kittens shortly there after.
When I was about 23 years old I had a few more cats by the names of Cindy and Melissa. Cindy was black and white and Melissa was a grey tabby cat. They were both very sweet cats. One day I was standing out on my front porch and this lady drives by and says "Hey, that is my cat!". I politely told her that Cindy was my cat. I had cindy from the time she was 6 weeks old and I had her spayed. Would you believe it was shortly thereafter that Cindy disappeared. I imagine that lady stole my cat. Some people have their nerve, don't they?
I had another cat that had a cute little French mustache marking. My boyfriend Jimmy named him Mojay which sounded like a French name and may even had been one. I never took french. One day I found him poisoned in the road behind my house. I can't understand how people can do that to an animal. Some people are just heartless and hateful!
I later moved out into the country and had several more cats. If they wanted to be inside they were inside and if they wanted to be outside they were outside. They had the best of both worlds. I had them all spayed and neutered because I did not want to add to the pet population. All my cats were strays too. My cat Gracie I found lost in the woods. Blaze was a lost animal as well. Tabby was Gracie's daughter. I had Gracie spayed a little too late but I guess better late than never. Gracie only had three kittens and I kept them all. One of my sons friends brought a Mainecoon home as a kitten. He named her Ming Ling which fits her completely. Ming Ling acts like she is the princess of the neighborhood.
After I moved again to the beach area there was the red tabby named Red that we took in. He was left out side by his previous owner in19 degree weather. I brought him in from my front porch and have had him inside ever since. He never wanted to leave. We no longer lived in the country so the cats are now all inside cats which they do not mind at all. I did not want them to end up on the roadside somewhere. While at work one day I found a little 3 or 4 week old kitten that the mother cat evidently abandoned or something happened to her. The little kitten was so skinny. I had brought hot dogs to work that day for lunch and the little kitten chowed down then took a nap. Naturally I took her home with me. How could I leave her. We named her Stormy because there was going to be a storm that night that I found her.To this day she is a whirl wind of a cat and gets into everything. Our cat Pearl which was also abandoned by her owner had kidney problems. We gave her a good life until the day she passed away. She is laid to rest in our back yard. Jade was brought home by my son from the pet store. He felt sorry for her because she was the last kitten that was left at the pet store. Jade has a different personality but we love her just the same. The newest cat we found recently was out in the cold too. She was on my front porch and looked like she might be hungry. We offered her food and water but she did not want that. She went right past us into the nice "warm" house. She just wanted to get ot of the cold and now she has been with us ever since.
I enjoy my cats so much that I started a blog about cats. I just got my digital camera so I will be adding pictures soon to my blog. Please pull up my blog and tell us some exciting stories about your cats. I also have links to some products that you can buy if you like from litter training and odor control to teaching your cat how to use the human toilet. This one I would like to try because buying cat litter for 8 cats gets expensive. Thanks for reading my story and I hope to see you on my blog. Thanks, Debbie. www.purfectkitty.blogspot.com
